SEO Team Lead (Saleshandy)

About Saleshandy

Saleshandy is a cold email outreach platform used by thousands of sales teams, agencies and founders worldwide to book more meetings. Our stack spans outreach, B2B lead data, email infrastructure and deliverability, and organic search is one of our largest acquisition channels.

We compete in one of the most contested SERPs in SaaS: cold email, sales engagement and lead generation, against well-funded players like Apollo, Instantly and Lemlist. We’re hiring an SEO Team Lead to own that battle end to end: set the strategy, do the hard work yourself, and build a team that compounds organic pipeline quarter after quarter.

• Scope: Technical, on-page, content strategy, off-page/link building, AI search visibility (AI Overviews, LLMs)
• Location: Ahmedabad, India (on-site)
• Experience: 3-5 years in SEO, 2+ years in B2B SaaS, 1+ year leading a team

What you’ll own

You own organic search as a revenue channel, from the keyword universe to the signup.

1. SEO strategy & roadmap

• Build and own the quarterly SEO roadmap tied to signups, trials and MQLs, not vanity traffic
• Map the full keyword universe and topic clusters across BOFU (alternatives, comparisons, pricing, use cases), MOFU and TOFU
• Prioritise ruthlessly by impact × effort; report progress to marketing leadership monthly

2. Technical SEO (hands-on)

• Run and fix site audits: crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, canonicals, redirects, hreflang, schema, internal linking
• Work directly with developers on site architecture, templates and programmatic SEO pages
• Own Google Search Console, sitemaps, log-file analysis and migration safety

3. On-page & content SEO

• Write SEO briefs and optimise existing pages: product, feature, comparison, integration, blog and landing pages
• Run content refresh and pruning programs to recover decaying rankings
• Partner with content writers on search intent, E-E-A-T and conversion-focused page structure

4. Off-page & authority building

• Own the link-building strategy: digital PR, data-led assets, guest posts, partnerships, broken-link and unlinked-mention outreach
• Grow high-quality referring domains in our niche while keeping the backlink profile clean
• Use Saleshandy itself to run outreach at scale

5. AI search visibility (GEO/AEO)

• Grow Saleshandy’s presence in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other LLM answers
• Track brand mentions, citations and share of voice versus competitors; act on the gaps

6. Team leadership

• Lead, coach and grow the SEO team; set weekly goals, review work and raise the quality bar
• Hire as the channel scales; build SOPs and playbooks so execution doesn’t depend on one person

7. Analytics & reporting

• Own SEO dashboards in GA4, GSC, Ahrefs and PostHog: rankings, traffic, conversions and assisted pipeline
• Turn data into the next sprint’s priorities, not just a monthly report

Your first 90 days

By day 90 you’ll have a funded roadmap, shipped quick wins and a team running on a weekly cadence.

How we’ll measure success

• Organic signups, trials and MQLs (primary)

• Technical health score and Core Web Vitals pass rate
• Team output, quality and growth

• Deep technical SEO: you can read a crawl, diagnose indexation issues and spec fixes for developers without hand-holding
• Strong on-page and content SEO: search intent, briefs, topic clusters, internal linking, CRO basics
• A link-building track record built on outreach, PR and assets, not paid link farms

• Clear written English and the ownership to run with ambiguity
