About the role

Reporting to: Head of SEO 
Job type: Permanent 
Salary: Competitive
Working Pattern & Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Work remotely up to 40% of the time and shape your day between 7 am and 6:30 pm with flexible working hours.)
Location: Hybrid/Flexible (Office located: Skelmersdale, Lancashire, WN8)


As a Senior SEO Executive, you’ll be reporting to the Head of SEO. You will support the implementation and delivery of high‑impact SEO campaigns across multiple ecommerce brands. The role requires close collaboration with internal specialists and marketing teams while contributing to technical optimisation, content development, reporting, and the evolution of our organic search strategy.


Key Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in driving the success of our SEO activity, from strategy and execution through to performance analysis, collaboration and team development. The key responsibilities include: 


 SEO Strategy & Planning 
Work with the team to plan natural search campaign strategies and deliver excellent SEO across our brands.
Stay informed about industry trends, the search landscape, AI developments, and connected marketing channels such as social and analytics, leveraging these insights in ongoing strategy development.
Analyse SEO campaign performance, identifying new opportunities and facilitating strategic changes to exceed expectations and goals.

Technical & Content SEO 
Produce and manage keyword, topic, and intent research, including supporting technical, content, and link audits, analysis, and documentation.
Create detailed content briefs based on keyword research and competitor gap analysis.
Support off‑site SEO activity such as Digital PR research and ideation.
Contribute to continuous refinement of SEO processes, documentation, and methodologies.

 Collaboration & Campaign Delivery 
Collaborate with internal SEO specialists, copywriters, developers, and wider marketing teams to deliver SEO projects effectively.
Work with cross‑functional teams to develop integrated digital marketing strategies spanning PPC, content, email, PR, and social media.
Project‑manage activities and workflows required to run SEO campaigns efficiently and to brand standards.

Performance & Reporting 
Produce internal reports, studies, and presentations in line with Chemist4U’s brand standards.
Monitor and analyse SEO performance, recommending improvements based on data insights.
Communicate findings clearly with key stakeholders to support decision making.

Team Development 
Increase your own and the business’s SEO knowledge.
Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, valuing diverse contributions.
Support problem‑solving by working with the appropriate people to evaluate solutions and identify practical actions.


About You 

You’ll be an experienced Marketing professional, with a good all round understanding of organic search, technical SEO and content optimisation, and how these fit into wider digital marketing activity. You’re comfortable using data and insight to understand what’s working and where improvements can be made, and you enjoy turning that information into practical actions. You’re confident working across different systems and platforms, enjoy collaborating with others, and naturally look for better ways of working while helping the team achieve shared goals.


Qualifications & Experience

As a Senior SEO Executive, you will need to showcase the following skills and experience: 

3+ years of hands‑on experience driving successful SEO strategies across organic search, technical SEO, and content optimisation
Proven track record supporting scalable SEO campaigns integrated with wider digital marketing and social media strategies
Expertise with GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and industry‑leading SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, and Screaming Frog
Proficiency with productivity tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and collaborative platforms such as Monday and Jira
Experience with CMS platforms including Magento, WordPress, and Payload
Strong data‑storytelling skills, able to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to improve processes and contribute positively to team collaboration
Strong problem‑solving capabilities, working with the right people to evaluate options and find practical solutions.
