We are seeking an experienced Principal Web Specialist to create high-quality, evidence-based digital content for healthcare professionals and other industry audiences.
This role combines healthcare content development, SEO strategy, AI-driven search optimization and cross-functional content governance within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long-form, evidence-based website content that balances clinical accuracy, customer relevance, brand voice, readability and business objectives.
- Translate complex clinical and medical technology information into clear, engaging content for professional audiences.
- Apply SEO best practices, including keyword and search-intent alignment, title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking and semantic optimization.
- Structure content for AI-driven discovery and answer engines using FAQs, concise answers and E-E-A-T principles.
- Manage content through medical, legal, regulatory, claims, privacy and brand approval processes.
- Analyze content performance and search insights to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, legal, product marketing, UX, analytics, SEO and web production teams.
- Support website transformation, content migration and content restructuring initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Significant experience writing healthcare, clinical, medical technology or life sciences content.
- Strong experience developing long-form web content for professional audiences.
- Advanced knowledge of SEO content strategy and on-page optimization.
- Experience working within regulated medical, legal, claims or brand-review environments.
- Ability to interpret website performance data and search insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to influence decisions and manage competing priorities without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with website transformation, content migration or content restructuring.
- Knowledge of GEO, AEO, AI search, structured answers, FAQs and entity-focused content.
- Understanding of healthcare buyer journeys, including healthcare professionals, administrators and procurement stakeholders.
- Experience developing solution narratives and messaging frameworks across multiple product brands.
- Experience supporting global websites, including regional, governance and language considerations.
