Job Description
About Wood Grain Junkie
We’re a family-run business designing and building woodworking tools and accessories, most of it made right here in-house. We sell direct to woodworkers and makers online through our own site and Amazon. Small team, high standards, and we’re growing.
About the Role
Run the ads. Own the inbox. Fix the site.
You’ll own how we turn traffic into sales: paid ads, email, and our website. This isn’t a big agency seat where you’re one of ten people on an account. You’ll have real ownership of the numbers, work directly with the owner, and see your results show up in the business.
What You’ll Do
Paid Advertising
- Run and optimize campaigns on Meta, Google, and Amazon
- Manage budgets responsibly and flag changes before they happen
- Test creative, audiences, and offers, and keep track of what works
Email (Klaviyo)
- Own our flows and campaigns: strategy, copy, scheduling, testing, and reporting
- Grow the list and improve revenue per send
Website Optimization (Shopify)
- Improve landing pages, product pages, and checkout for conversion
- Run tests and make changes based on data, not guesses
Reporting & Collaboration
- Send a weekly snapshot of spend, MER, ROAS, email revenue, and conversion rate
- Work with our content creator on ad creative and email content
- Learn our products by getting hands-on in the shop
What We’re Looking For
- Real experience running paid ads on Meta, Google, and Amazon, with results you can show us in numbers
- Genuine interest in learning our products and the woodworking and DIY space. You’ll be marketing to makers, so understanding how they work and what they care about is a big part of doing this well
- Hands-on with Klaviyo and Shopify
- Comfortable in the data, and able to explain what it means in plain English
- Coachable, self-directed, and no ego
Why This Role Matters
We’re a small team and every person matters. Our marketing budget is modest, so every dollar needs to work hard. You’ll be the person making sure it does, and you’ll help shape how we grow.
How to Apply
Along with your application, include links to examples of your work. We want to see ads you’ve run, email flows or campaigns you’ve built, and pages you’ve improved, plus the results you drove (ROAS, revenue, conversion rate). A portfolio link, Google Drive folder, or Loom walkthrough is perfect.
Additional Details
- 25-30 hours/week, with a path to full-time as the role grows
- W-2 employee (part-time)
- In-person at our shop in the Englewood/DTC area, with some remote flexibility
- Paid holidays and paid time off
