Technical Search Manager (Seo & Geo)

THE ROLE.

As a Technical Search Manager at Found, you will lead the strategic delivery of all technical SEO and GEO components across your client portfolio. Brands can only be found, cited and recommended in search engines and AI answers if machines can read their sites, and you will own making sure they can. Reporting to a Search Account Director and working alongside Search Account Managers, you will ensure that technical strategies are tightly aligned with business goals and that websites are technically sound, scalable and readable by search engines and AI agents.

You will act as a subject matter expert, supporting client conversations and mentoring and coaching colleagues across the team, from Executives to Directors, to build technical capability across Found Search and move from task-based thinking to results-driven execution. You will also contribute to the development of new technical SEO and GEO solutions, playing a key role in keeping Found at the forefront of the industry.

IMPACT OF THE ROLE

Your work will directly contribute to:

• Search and AI Visibility Uplift: Driving measurable improvements to client visibility and traffic in search engines and AI answers through site health and technical foundations.

• Client Trust & Strategic Influence: Supporting client stakeholders and development teams with expert technical insights that influence decisions and long-term plans.

• Product Innovation: Developing scalable, future-facing technical SEO and GEO solutions and frameworks that elevate Found’s delivery.

• Team Capability Growth: Building the technical confidence and skills of Executives, Account Managers and Account Directors through structured guidance and mentorship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

TECHNICAL DELIVERY

• Set technical benchmarks and clearly communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Sign off technical output and manage deliverable scopes, documentation and templates.

• Represent technical SEO and GEO in client calls and meetings, providing confident, expert input when needed.

GEO & AI READINESS

• Audit for the technical blockers to AI retrieval and citation, such as client-side rendering, blocked crawlers and missing or inconsistent structured data, and prioritise the fixes.

• Keep up with how AI platforms retrieve and cite content, refining methodology and scaling what works across accounts.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & INNOVATION

• Contribute to the refinement of processes, scopes and delivery standards.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Found’s technology, products and services, and apply them effectively in your role.

• Stay informed of industry standards, innovations and emerging approaches in digital marketing, applying relevant insights to client and agency work.

BEHAVIOURS IN THIS ROLE

• Technically Excellent: Brings deep, current knowledge of SEO mechanics, platforms and technical solutions, including how AI crawlers and agents read sites.

• Strategic & Solutions-Oriented: Aligns technical work with commercial and performance goals, not just tasks.

• Supportive Leader: Coaches, empowers and uplifts colleagues across the team with clarity and empathy.
