About the Role
Confidential Financial – Crypto company is looking for a Senior SEO Specialist, Content to lead and expand our content-driven SEO strategy. This role is ideal for an experienced SEO professional with a strong editorial background who understands how to create content that ranks for competitive, high-intent keywords, earns high-quality backlinks, and gets surfaced and cited by Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and other AI answer engines.
You will work closely with content, design, and engineering teams while also contributing to technical SEO, digital PR, link-building initiatives, and broader organic growth projects.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, write, edit, and optimize long-form content targeting competitive, high-intent keywords.
- Develop link-earning content, tools, and strategies that generate high-quality backlinks.
- Support digital PR, outreach, and link-building campaigns.
- Optimize content for Google AI Overviews and generative search platforms through citation-worthy structures, schema markup, and strong authority signals.
- Partner with design and engineering teams on site architecture, crawlability, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, and other technical SEO initiatives.
- Monitor rankings, organic traffic, backlink growth, and AI citation visibility.
- Report on performance, identify growth opportunities, and adjust the SEO strategy based on data.
- Stay current on search engine and AI algorithm changes and translate industry developments into actionable recommendations.
What You’ll Need
- At least five years of professional SEO experience, with a strong content, editorial, or organic growth track record.
- Demonstrated success ranking content for competitive keywords and generating organic backlinks.
- Hands-on experience with Generative Engine Optimization, AI Overviews, or similar strategies designed to increase visibility in AI answer engines.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, including site architecture, schema markup, crawlability, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
- Excellent writing, editing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience building a brand’s presence on Reddit or other online communities.
- Experience with digital PR, link-building outreach, or earned media strategies.
- Hands-on experience implementing schema and structured data.
- Experience with scaled, programmatic, or AI-assisted content workflows.
- Familiarity with measuring brand and content visibility across AI answer engines.
