We are seeking a motivated SEO Specialist/Strategist to join our growing SEO practice. We’re looking for someone who is curious, self-directed, and eager to grow into a true strategic partner.

You’ll work directly with the Director of SEO across a portfolio of clients, balancing hands-on execution with meaningful contributions to strategy. With our niche in the real estate industry, you’ll get hands-on experience shaping SEO programs for home builders, developers, and multi-family clients, driving measurable organic growth in highly competitive markets.

This role is ideal for someone early in their SEO career who is hungry to learn, takes initiative without being told, and thinks critically about the work. The right person is naturally curious, proactive, and motivated to dig in and figure things out on their own.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical SEO audits and translate findings into prioritized, actionable recommendations.
  • Perform keyword research, competitive analysis, and SERP investigations to inform strategy.
  • Execute on-page optimization across client sites, including metadata, internal linking, content briefs, and schema.
  • Manage local SEO efforts, including Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, and location-based ranking strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze performance across a portfolio of clients using GA4, Google Search Console, and our SEO tooling, proactively surfacing insights, opportunities, and concerns.
  • Contribute to SEO strategy development for new and existing clients, not just execute pre-built plans.
  • Identify problems, opportunities, and next steps without waiting to be assigned.
  • Collaborate with internal content, development, and account management teams to align SEO with broader marketing goals.
  • Stay current on algorithm updates, SERP changes, and emerging tactics, and bring what you learn back to the team.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and, when needed, directly with clients.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency, in-house, freelance, bootcamp project work, or your own sites all count).
  • Working knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, and at least one major SEO platform (Ahrefs, Semrush, Sitebulb, Screaming Frog, etc.).
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and pulling insights from data.
  • Strong written communication. You can document your work, explain your reasoning, and share findings clearly.
  • A self-starter mindset. You can take an ambiguous problem, break it down, and come back with a hypothesis or recommendation without needing the work pre-scoped for you.
  • Genuine curiosity about SEO and digital marketing. You read, experiment, and follow the industry on your own time.
  • Critical and strategic thinking. You ask “why” and “what if” before “how.”
  • Honesty about what you don’t know, paired with the willingness to dig in and figure it out.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to technical SEO, content strategy, or link building.
  • Experience with local SEO and Google Business Profile management.
  • HTML/CSS familiarity.
  • Experience working with real estate, home builder, or multi-family clients.
  • Proficiency with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT, especially when applied to SEO workflows.
  • Excitement about being on the cutting edge of the rapidly evolving search landscape, including a genuine interest in AEO and LLM visibility tactics.
  • Experience integrating AI into your day-to-day workflows or automating processes (huge plus, especially as it relates to SEO).
