About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior SEO Specialist to lead strategy, identify high-impact opportunities, and serve as the organic growth lead across a portfolio of high-performing client accounts. You’ll guide partners through SEO strategic roadmaps, execute detailed audits, manage technical prioritization, and drive measurable performance across a wide range of industries and site types.

You will collaborate closely with content, outreach, paid media, and development teams to ensure SEO recommendations are implemented in ways that support both rankings and revenue.

  • Location: 100% Work from home (Remote)

  • Reporting to: Director of SEO

Compensation

$75,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience, technical depth, and client management skills.


Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Agency Experience: Proven client-facing experience in an agency environment.

  • Proven Results: Experience scaling SEO for a variety of site types and industries.

  • Data Expertise: Expertise in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, specifically using formulas and data manipulation to create meaningful, client-facing analysis.

  • Communication: Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders.

  • SEO Toolset: Deep knowledge of Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.

  • Technical Depth: Strong understanding of page-level SEO, site architecture, technical audits, and structured data.

  • Modern Search: Experience with AEO/AI SEO strategies, including featured snippet/AIO targeting, entity optimization, and search intent mapping.

  • Algorithm Fluency: Working knowledge of recent updates (Helpful Content, Core Web Vitals, SpamBrain) and the implications of Generative AI.

  • Collaboration: Proven experience collaborating with Paid Media, Dev, and Content teams through joint meetings and shared strategy.

Nice to Have:

  • Reporting: Experience with Looker Studio (Data Studio) or Supermetrics.

  • AI Tools: Familiarity with AI-driven tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Surfer, etc.

  • CMS Knowledge: Familiarity with WordPress/WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, and BigCommerce.

  • GTM & GA4: Experience using Google Tag Manager for tracking setups and creating custom dashboards in GA4.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Ownership: Own the SEO relationship and strategy for assigned partners, focusing on site architecture, content, and technical health.

  • Partner Leadership: Lead partner calls as the primary SEO voice; educate, recommend, and defend strategic direction.

  • Advanced Auditing: Perform deep audits to surface technical and content opportunities.

  • Prioritization: Rank initiatives by difficulty, cost, and potential impact.

  • Execution: Deliver keyword research, on-page optimization, internal linking, and competitive gap analysis.

  • QA: Conduct quality assurance on SEO deliverables produced by peers.

  • Innovation: Use AI to scale audits and surface gaps while relying on human strategy for final decision-making.
