Role Description
SearchX is looking for an experienced Senior SEO Manager who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and wants true ownership over client success.
From day one, you'll step into ownership of 3–5 client accounts, becoming the primary strategic lead for each business. You'll work directly with business owners, collaborate with our content, development, paid media, and backlink teams, and build long-term growth strategies that deliver measurable results.
This role extends far beyond traditional SEO. You'll help clients improve visibility across Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Bing, and other emerging search experiences through modern SEO strategies focused on AEO and LLM SEO.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy and execution for 3–5 client accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for your clients
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits
- Perform advanced keyword research and search intent analysis
- Develop on-page SEO and content optimization strategies
- Build AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategies to improve AI visibility
- Develop LLM SEO strategies focused on earning citations and mentions across AI platforms
- Optimize websites for Google AI Overviews and emerging search experiences
- Collaborate with content writers, developers, Google Ads specialists, and backlink teams
- Analyze rankings, traffic, conversions, AI visibility, and business performance
- Lead monthly client strategy calls and communicate recommendations clearly
- Stay ahead of Google's algorithm updates and emerging AI search trends
- Mentor junior SEO specialists and contribute to agency SOPs and best practices
Required
- 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience
- Strong technical SEO knowledge
- Experience performing comprehensive SEO audits
- Advanced keyword research and search intent analysis
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and content optimization
- Experience developing SEO strategies that drive measurable business growth
- Experience with Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
- Experience with ethical backlink acquisition and authority building
- Understanding of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
- Familiarity with LLM SEO and AI search optimization
- Experience using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Tag Manager, and Looker Studio
- Experience using industry tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
