We are currently seeking an experienced Content Executive to join our Prime Video Content Acquisition team. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing the TV and movie content acquisition strategy for Prime Video Canada. Leveraging your experience in content strategy, rights, and negotiations you will work across Canada content owners to identify and negotiate deals, develop new business models, and deliver premium content to our customers.

Key job responsibilities
– Build a plan to have the most compelling content for our Amazon costumers.
– Develop and execute the content acquisition strategy for Prime Video Canada.
– Develop and document content plans, financial metrics and goals for senior leadership
– Use customer behavior, usage and consumption data to inform decision-making
– Build and grow relationships with senior-level leaders at content providers
– Manage relationships with studios, channel groups and more niche video media organizations
– Drive continuous improvement in all operational aspects of Amazon’s relationship with its digital content suppliers
– Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Amazon Prime Video
– Maintain a can-do attitude and a willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary

– 8+ years of account management, business development, content licensing or finance experience
– 8+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
– Bachelor’s degree
– Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
– Experience in media licensing models, evaluation metrics and deal terms

– Experience converting insights into strategy and communicating complex ideas clearly and logically in written communication
– Experience managing a large number of account relationships and deals simultaneously, ideally related to media/entertainment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon’s package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
