Masse is a 40-person SEO agency that has scaled entirely through word-of-mouth, delivering our signature Content at Scale and Manufacturing Consensus campaigns to ambitious tech companies at the cutting edge of AI, robotics and telehealth.
We’re hiring an Account Director to take ownership of our most strategically important client relationships — some of the fastest-growing tech companies in history — and help build the commercial infrastructure that will underpin our scaling agency. You’ll be the senior relationship lead across a defined portfolio of accounts — accountable for retention, growth, and the overall quality of the client experience.
Beyond your own portfolio, you’ll play a key leadership role within the account management function — mentoring account managers, setting standards for client communication, and working directly with the leadership team to shape how Masse goes to market.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and own a portfolio of Masse’s most significant client accounts — serving as the senior strategic point of contact
- Drive account retention and expansion, identifying opportunities to grow revenue within existing relationships
- Partner with our SEO Director to ensure strategy, delivery, and client communication are consistently aligned
- Lead QBRs and senior-level client meetings, presenting performance, strategy, and roadmap with confidence
- Line manage and mentor Account Managers — building capability and consistency across the client services team
- Work with leadership on commercial planning, onboarding standards, and account health frameworks
- Contribute to pitches and new business proposals where senior client-facing experience is needed
- Identify systemic account risks early and put in place plans to address them
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of account management experience, with at least 2 years at Director or Senior AM level within a digital agency
- Deep familiarity with SEO, content marketing, or digital performance — enough to lead strategic conversations with authority
- Proven track record of growing and retaining a portfolio of B2B accounts
- A natural leader who brings out the best in the people around them
- Commercially sharp — you think in terms of retention rates, expansion revenue, and lifetime value
- Calm, structured, and decisive under pressure — you set the tone for the team
- Experience with agency tooling, reporting, and project management workflows
