Position Summary

Nationwide Transport Services is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented SEO Analyst to strengthen our organic search presence, increase qualified website traffic, and generate more leads for our vehicle transportation and logistics services.

The SEO Analyst will support the development and execution of search engine optimization strategies designed to improve visibility across search engines and AI-powered search platforms. This role will focus on keyword research, technical SEO, website content optimization, competitor analysis, performance reporting, and identifying opportunities to increase quote requests and customer acquisition.

The ideal candidate understands how customers search for auto transport and logistics services, including vehicle shipping, enclosed auto transport, open car shipping, motorcycle transport, dealer and auction vehicle transportation, and long-distance vehicle relocation.

This individual will work closely with marketing, content, web development, and operations teams to improve website performance and ensure SEO initiatives support measurable business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Keyword Research and Search Strategy

  • Conduct keyword research focused on vehicle shipping, auto transport, car hauling, vehicle relocation, and related transportation services.
  • Identify high-intent keywords that attract customers actively seeking vehicle transportation quotes.
  • Analyze search volume, keyword difficulty, search intent, competition, and conversion potential.
  • Develop keyword maps for service pages, location pages, route-specific pages, and supporting blog content.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities to improve rankings for commercially valuable search terms.
  • Monitor changes in customer search behavior, seasonal demand, and industry-related search trends.

2. On-Page SEO and Website Optimization

  • Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal links, image alt text, and other on-page SEO elements.
  • Improve service pages covering open transport, enclosed transport, classic and luxury vehicle shipping, motorcycle shipping, and specialty transportation.
  • Optimize origin-and-destination pages targeting vehicle shipping routes and geographic search demand.
  • Evaluate existing content for relevance, accuracy, search intent, and opportunities to improve organic performance.
  • Reduce keyword cannibalization and improve website architecture through effective keyword mapping and internal linking.
  • Collaborate with content writers to create SEO-focused landing pages, educational resources, FAQs, and blog articles.

3. Technical SEO

  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify crawlability, indexation, duplicate content, broken links, redirect, canonicalization, and metadata issues.
  • Monitor XML sitemaps, robots.txt, structured data, and search engine indexing.
  • Evaluate Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, page speed, and website performance.
  • Identify and communicate technical issues to web developers, providing clear documentation and recommendations.
  • Monitor the SEO impact of website redesigns, page launches, URL changes, and site migrations.
  • Help maintain a scalable website structure as service offerings and geographic landing pages expand.

4. Local SEO and Geographic Optimization

  • Support local and regional SEO strategies where relevant to the company’s service areas and business locations.
  • Optimize location-specific landing pages and identify opportunities for organic visibility across key markets.
  • Research geographic search trends related to vehicle shipping between cities, states, and major transportation corridors.
  • Evaluate the quality and usefulness of location pages to avoid thin, duplicative, or low-value content.
  • Monitor local search competitors and identify opportunities to strengthen geographic relevance and customer engagement.

5. Analytics, Reporting, and Lead Generation

  • Monitor organic search performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and SEO reporting platforms.
  • Track organic sessions, impressions, clicks, keyword visibility, landing-page performance, and conversion activity.
  • Analyze quote form submissions, click-to-call activity, and other available lead-generation events originating from organic search.
  • Identify pages and keywords that generate qualified leads and recommend opportunities to improve conversion rates.
  • Develop recurring dashboards and reports that communicate performance trends, issues, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Measure the impact of SEO initiatives on qualified lead volume and overall customer acquisition.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to understand lead quality and identify opportunities to improve organic campaign performance.

6. Competitor Analysis and Market Research

  • Monitor competing auto transport and vehicle shipping companies to identify changes in keyword rankings, content strategies, and organic visibility.
  • Analyze competitor service pages, geographic coverage, content gaps, and backlink profiles.
  • Identify opportunities to differentiate the company’s website through stronger content, better search intent alignment, and improved user experience.
  • Track search engine algorithm updates and evaluate their potential impact on organic performance.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on competitive and market insights.

7. AI Search Optimization and Emerging Trends

  • Monitor the impact of AI-powered search experiences, including Google AI Overviews and other relevant AI search platforms.
  • Support Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives.
  • Improve content structure, topical coverage, factual clarity, and entity relevance to support discoverability across search experiences.
  • Evaluate opportunities to strengthen brand visibility for vehicle shipping questions, cost estimates, shipping timelines, and transportation service comparisons.
  • Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to support research, analysis, and workflow efficiency while maintaining content accuracy and quality.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing, content, development, and other internal teams to implement SEO recommendations.
  • Coordinate SEO priorities with broader digital marketing and lead-generation initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation of audits, keyword research, implementation status, and performance improvements.
  • Communicate technical findings and SEO recommendations clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of the company’s website, search visibility, and customer acquisition efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Two or more years of hands-on SEO experience preferred.
  • Experience using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console.

  • Familiarity with content management systems and basic HTML.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience optimizing service-based websites focused on lead generation.
  • Familiarity with local SEO and geographic landing-page optimization.
  • Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and website migrations.
  • Experience with Looker Studio, Excel, or other reporting and visualization tools.
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization and lead attribution.
  • Familiarity with AEO, GEO, and AI-driven search visibility.
  • Basic SQL, Python, or SEO automation experience.
