We are seeking a highly experienced SEO Manager with a strong background in financial news, digital publishing, or news technology. This role is ideal for someone who understands Google's evolving Search ecosystem—including recent algorithm and policy changes affecting AI-generated content—and has successfully helped publishers recover and grow organic traffic.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase organic traffic across AInvest's news platform.
- Analyze the impact of Google's recent Search updates, particularly those affecting AI-generated content and news publishers, and develop actionable recovery plans.
- Perform technical SEO audits and work closely with engineering teams to improve crawlability, indexing, site performance, structured data, and Core Web Vitals.
- Optimize content architecture, internal linking, topical authority, and information hierarchy to improve search visibility.
- Collaborate with editorial, product, AI, and engineering teams to ensure AI-generated content aligns with Google's quality guidelines and demonstrates strong E-E-A-T signals.
- Monitor search performance using Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools.
- Identify emerging opportunities in Google Search, Google Discover, Google News, AI Overviews, and other search surfaces.
- Establish SEO best practices and educate internal teams on sustainable organic growth strategies.
Required
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience for large-scale content websites.
- Proven experience working at a financial news publisher, digital news organization, or news technology company.
- Deep understanding of Google Search algorithms, Google News, Discover, indexing, and publisher SEO.
- Demonstrated experience recovering websites impacted by Google's core updates or AI-related Search changes.
- Experience working with editorial and product teams in a fast-paced publishing environment.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
