About the role

Accolade Solutions is a Finnish AI & growth agency and technical delivery partner. This role is the engineering side of our technical web and SEO infrastructure work — where technical SEO meets real software development.

Your job is to make complex, JavaScript-heavy websites genuinely crawlable, fast, and render-parity-clean: making sure what a search crawler sees matches what a user sees, that content actually renders, structured data is valid, redirects and canonicals are correct at scale, and pages stay within crawl budget and Core Web Vitals targets. Googlebot first — plus the newer AI crawlers as they grow. This is production work on real sites with real traffic, not audits in a spreadsheet.

This is a developer role. You will write, debug, and ship code every day. It is not a content, keyword, or link-building position. If you’re a technical SEO who genuinely codes — or a web developer who has gone deep on crawl, render, and performance — this role is built for you.

It’s a full-time, remote position on European working hours (EU-based, or reliably overlapping an EU time zone). On-site or hybrid work in Finland is possible, but not required.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, maintain, test, and optimize complex websites and web infrastructure, front-end and back-end.
  • Own render parity and crawlability: debug JavaScript-heavy pages, validate that crawlers receive complete, correct HTML, and fix what they can’t see.
  • Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals, with hands-on performance debugging (Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).
  • Handle the technical-SEO foundation in code: structured data (JSON-LD), canonicals, redirects, robots.txt, sitemaps, site architecture, HTTP status hygiene, indexation.
  • Monitor site health and troubleshoot issues that hurt search visibility, user experience, and performance — using logs, analytics, SEO tools, and browser-automation tools.
  • Use agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Agy) as part of real development workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers, SEO specialists, DevOps, designers, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into clean, maintainable solutions.

Requirements

Must-haves

  • Strong web development. Real experience building, maintaining, and debugging modern websites or web applications, including JavaScript-heavy / single-page sites.
  • Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (TypeScript a plus), and comfort with modern front-end frameworks.
  • A real grasp of how the web works under the hood: server and browser behavior, DOM, HTTP, responsive design, and web performance.
  • Foundational technical SEO: crawlability, indexation, structured data, canonicals, redirects, robots.txt, sitemaps, site architecture, HTTP status codes, page-speed optimization. You don’t need to be senior; you should understand the basics and want to go deeper.
  • You work with agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Agy) in real development workflows, or you’re genuinely eager to.
  • Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows, and able to diagnose issues with developer, analytics, logging, and testing tools.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving. You investigate technical issues carefully and from multiple angles.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.

Nice to have (optional, several you can learn here)

  • TypeScript depth; back-end / full-stack concepts (APIs, server-side logic, databases, integrations, deployment).
  • eCommerce platforms, CMS platforms, or enterprise web environments.
  • Google Search Console, BigQuery, GA4, GTM, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, log-file analysis.
  • An eye on how crawlers read the web and ability to analyse them from server logs
  • Relevant technical education, or equivalent professional experience in a related field.

How to apply

Email [email protected] with your CV (and LinkedIn profile) and 2–3 examples of relevant web, project, or code work — public links, portfolio pieces, GitHub repos, client references, or anonymized project descriptions. We care most about the kinds of technical problems you’ve solved and how you approached them.

Please also include a short overview of your daily toolkit: languages, frameworks, developer tools, testing tools, SEO tools, analytics tools, deployment tools, and AI coding tools you regularly use.
