Purpose of the Position:

The Digital Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management, release execution, and continuous optimisation of Axiz’s e-commerce platforms, digital products, and customer-facing functionalities. This role owns the delivery lifecycle of new digital capabilities from business requirement gathering systems analysis, solution design, testing, quality assurance, release management, and successful go-live deployment through to post-implementation optimisation.

The incumbent will act as the bridge between business, technology, QA, UX/UI, and operational stakeholders to ensure that all e-commerce enhancements, integrations, and digital releases are delivered with high quality, minimal disruption, and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

E-Commerce Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own and manage the digital e-commerce product roadmap aligned to business growth objectives and customer experience priorities.
  • Define, prioritise, and manage new platform functionalities, enhancements, integrations, and digital optimisation initiatives.
  • Act as the primary Product Owner for digital commerce platforms across the full product lifecycle.

 

End-to-End Release & Go-Live Management

  • Manage the full end-to-end release lifecycle for e-commerce platform updates, integrations, enhancements, and new functionalities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery between development, infrastructure, QA, UX/UI, security, and business teams.
  • Lead release planning, sprint coordination, deployment readiness, and production go-live activities.
  • Develop and maintain release schedules, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and deployment documentation
  • Monitor post-go-live performance, issue resolution, and stabilisation activities.

 

Quality Assurance & Testing Governance

  • Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, regression testing, and release validation activities.
  • Ensure quality assurance best practices are embedded throughout the product delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure all digital releases comply with governance, security, and operational standards.

 

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  • Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to drive delivery execution and prioritisation.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release reviews.
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, and technical dependencies.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree or National Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Commerce, Business Management, or related field.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Digital Product Management, Product Ownership, Systems Analysis, or E-Commerce Delivery roles.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end e-commerce platform releases and go-live deployments.
  • Strong background in Product Ownership within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience working with digital commerce platforms, ERP integrations, CRM systems, APIs, and third-party digital solutions.
  • Solid understanding of systems analysis, business process mapping, and software delivery lifecycles.
  • Proven experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), quality assurance, and release governance processes
  • Experience within ICT Distribution, Technology, Retail, or B2B E-Commerce environments will be advantageous.

 

Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and digital commerce ecosystems.
  • Experience with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of release management, deployment processes, and software delivery governance.
  • Experience with QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and defect management.
