This is a high-bar role.

We are not looking for a traditional SEO manager who focuses on rankings, audits, or reactive execution.

We are looking for an AI-native operator who can own a portfolio of accounts, drive revenue growth, and proactively lead clients through the next era of organic visibility across SEO, AEO, Reddit, LLM-driven discovery, and emerging search surfaces.

Your job is to retain and grow a portfolio of 4 to 6 client accounts totaling roughly $120K to $180K in monthly value while helping us improve how we execute across the team.

If your experience is primarily:

  • Executing SEO tasks without tying them to pipeline or revenue

  • Reacting to client requests instead of leading strategy

  • Managing deliverables instead of owning outcomes

  • Avoiding AI or only using it at a basic level

What You’ll Do

As Senior SEO / AEO Manager, you operate as the strategic owner of your accounts.

You are responsible for retention, expansion, and execution across 4 to 6 client accounts.

Core responsibilities:

  • Own and grow a portfolio of 4 to 6 client accounts worth approximately $120K to $180K in monthly revenue

  • Drive 20 to 30 percent growth within owned accounts through expansion

  • Maintain Net Revenue Retention of 115 to 120 percent across owned accounts

  • Deliver zero unforced churn through proactive client leadership

  • Identify risks and opportunities early and act before issues arise

  • Build proactive account strategies with clear forward-looking roadmaps

  • Execute strategies across SEO, AEO, LLM visibility, Reddit, and emerging discovery platforms

  • Improve visibility in AI-generated answers and answer engines

  • Develop repeatable Reddit and community search strategies

  • Partner with leadership on upsell and expansion opportunities

  • Build 1 to 3 AI workflows or tools that improve speed, quality, and execution

  • Surface account-level insights that improve broader team strategy

  • Mentor analysts and help raise execution quality across the pod

Outcomes You’ll Be Responsible For

Primary KPI

  • Net Revenue Retention of 115% – 120% across owned accounts

Guardrails

  • Logo churn = 0

  • Client CSAT ≥ 8/10

6-Month Expectations

  • Fully own 4 to 6 client accounts

  • Deliver zero unforced churn

  • Establish proactive account management across all owned accounts

  • Identify and mitigate risks at least 30 days before escalation

  • Drive clear expansion opportunities tied to performance

  • Launch and improve strategies across Google, AI answer engines, Reddit, and other discovery surfaces

  • Build 1 to 3 AI workflows or tools that improve execution quality and speed

  • Improve client confidence and trust

  • Contribute meaningful insights on AEO performance, LLM visibility, and pipeline-driving content strategy

12 to 18 Month Expectations

  • Maintain 115% – 120% NRR across owned accounts

  • Grow account revenue through consistent performance-driven expansion

  • Improve client visibility across search, AI answers, and community-driven platforms

  • Build repeatable approaches for Reddit, AEO, and LLM visibility execution

  • Improve team efficiency and quality through AI leverage

  • Raise analyst performance and communication standards

  • Contribute insights that shape how the broader team operates
