The last major update to SEOJobs.com went live back in 2024. Today I’m happy to announce V3 of SEOJobs.com

Thank you in advance for continuing to support SEOJobs.com. Without the larger industry support, this site wouldn’t exist.

Below are some of the bigger updates.

SEOJobs.com Design.

The design of the site has always been Function over format. As many of you have noticed, I’ve been chipping away at updating various templates over the past month or two. The homepage and blog are probably the ones that have changed most noticeably.

Job Listing Updates

Job listings have been renamed. We now have free, standard, and premium listings. We also introduced a new job listing type called “quick job,” which allows you to leverage visibility on SEOJobs.com while directing users who click your listing to a 3rd-party job listing (your own website, your ATS, or a big job board, etc.).

All the benefits of a standard SEOJobs listing but it only takes a few minutes!

Job Data/Salary Insights

Each category (minus international) now contains US salary data insights. Now you can see the average salary/requirements at the state/city level. When enough data is available, we now also provide average aggregated salary data for listings currently live on SEOjobs.com (and compare it to the industry average).

Location Pages Now Include Optional Remote Roles

If you’re searching our dedicated /geo/ portion of the site, you’re more than likely looking for an in-person or hybrid role. However, sometimes the right opportunity exists as a remote role. So our location pages now include a remote tab as a secondary option.

Location Clarity

One of the biggest issues we hear from both employers looking to hire and employees looking to apply is a lack of clarity on role type/location. Remote is now broken out by remote US/UK/CAN/EU and WW (worldwide)

Cracking down on application spam

I know how frustrating it is to get flood after flood of unqualified applicants—especially when you’ve stated clearly in your listing that a role requires a specific location.

I keep native application forms enabled because they’re the most reliable way for me to track applications and measure successful conversions for your listing. To help filter out the noise, I’ve added a few friction points to the process. While this won’t completely stop unqualified applicants, it raises the bar and ensures anyone applying is at least putting in intentional effort.
