SEO Manager

Service Master Clean is seeking a new position for our brand. The Search Engine Optimization Manager is responsible for planning, implementing and managing ServiceMaster brands overall SEO strategy, and you will be responsible for assisting franchisees in developing and implementing effective SEO strategies. The role requirements include direct management of search engine optimization strategy, agency management, web analytics, content strategy planning, link building, and keyword strategy. 


What you’ll do:

  • Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy
  • Work with multiple franchisees to understand their business goals, target audiences, and local market dynamics
  • Identify engaging and trending topics for content (blog posts, social posts, etc.)
  • Create content briefs and calendars for website articles and social posts.  Work with the brand marketing and creative team to get content produced and published.
  • Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization
  • Regularly perform thorough keywords research, including keyword gap analyses, and create recommendations for improvement
  • Create a backlinking strategy for the brand
  • Regularly monitor website performance and audit for issues.  Identify technical improvements that would increase site performance and ranking—404s, metadata updates needed, etc. work with our website partner to implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Identify key SEO KPIs and develop a plan to execute against them
  • Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, lead generation and other KPIs
  • Prepare and present reports regularly
  • Suggest improvements for process and productivity optimization
  • Work with web developers and marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices and make recommendations on improving the digital presence for the full network (includes franchisee microsites).
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices

What you bring:

  • 5 years of experience with planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy
  • Proven success in SEO (requires quantifiable examples and references)
  • 5 years of experience tracking, reporting and analyzing website analytics
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing metrics
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Degree in relevant quantitative fields.
  • Experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google/Bing, In-depth experience with bid management tools is a bonus.


Work Location: This role is 100% remote with up to 10% travel
