About the Role
What You’ll Do
-
- Own the end-to-end content creation process for blogs, video scripts, and occasional landing pages– conceive, write, and edit high-quality, original keyword-driven content for varying audiences.
- Support the publishing of blogs, website content and resources in our content management system, WordPress.
- Develop and manage Highspot’s blog editorial calendar – informed by our overarching SEO strategy, company initiatives, and upcoming campaigns.
- Lead and drive blog planning meetings and processes. Collaborate with Content Marketing, Customer Marketing, Demand, Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, and Corporate Communications to source content ideas, assign tasks, and support blog contributors in the completion of deliverables.
- Independently research sales- and marketing-related topics to create captivating story angles. You’re a driving force of content innovation and new idea generation.
- Perform ongoing competitor analysis and audience research to identify content gaps and opportunities and drive content planning and creation.
- Seek opportunities to update existing content, ensuring content is relevant, accurate, and maximized for organic exposure.
- Manage keyword rank across blog content, including recommending and implementing changes to content, metadata, internal linking, and other factors to improve position for target keywords.
- Collaborate with the Design team to bring content to life with the use of images and infographics, optimizing for image search.
- Craft call-to-action messaging that drives lead engagement and conversions.
- Track, analyze, and monitor blog performance, reporting on traffic growth, engagement, conversions to leads, and MQLS.
- Support the Sr. Web Marketing Manager in managing blog keyword ranking and achieving strategic KPIs.
Your Background
-
- 4-5 years of SEO/content marketing, content creation, or equivalent writing experience.
- You possess strong, versatile writing skills and are capable of writing/editing for digital, including blog posts, frequently asked questions, and site copy.
- Familiarity with SEO, website testing, and analytics tools including SEMrush, AHREFs, SurferSEO, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and VWO.
- You have strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and the “white hat” way.
- You enjoy collaborating across boundaries, working closely with various stakeholders and subject matter experts, to deliver work that has a business impact.
- You have strong project management and organizational skills and high attention to detail – demonstrated through your ability to think on your feet, multitask, manage the end-to-end editorial calendar and content process, and adhere to deadlines.
- You have a passion for digital marketing and stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and digital content.
- Understand the practical application of competitive research, SEO research, and content research and their places in marketing
- Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation.
- You’re self-motivated with the ability to quickly pick up new skills and learn new tasks.
- You have a working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript and experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- You have experience with SEO and analytic reporting tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.

Base salary range: $97,000 – $145,000 USD. Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.
The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
