About the Job:

As an SEO Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business leads, cultivating & nurturing incoming leads,  building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth for the organization. You will collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies, identify opportunities, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead Nurturing:

  • Track incoming leads, coordinate qualification meetings, and ensure all pertinent information is added to the CRM and kept accurate and up to date
  • Own the sales pipeline, maintain an acute understanding of all active opportunities, ensuring every opportunity receives timely and accurate responses, follow up, and next step actions to move them forward
  • Maintain active communication with prospects via email, phone, and Linkedin as needed to develop client relationships
  • Effectively communicate CSP’s unique value proposition, capabilities, and approach in order to qualify and move opportunities further down the pipeline
  • Gain a deep understanding of the prospect’s business model, goals, and challenges, in order to identify key needs and attain the necessary details to scope the right SEO solution

Lead Development:

  • Research and identify opportunities within CSP databases and lead sources in order to develop new sales leads into the pipeline
  • Execute outgoing calls, emails, and Linkedin messages to prospects that have been exposed to the CSP brand, in order to identify new leads and add them to the pipeline
  • Act as “air support” to ongoing marketing campaigns, contacting prospects that have shown interest through marketing intent signals 

Client Relationship Building:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target companies/industries
  • Conduct meetings, audits, and presentations to showcase the value of our SEO solutions
  • Understand clients’ business goals and challenges to tailor solutions accordingly

Sales Collaboration:    

  • Carefully track all sales leads throughout the sales funnel ensuring regular touchpoints and scheduled follow-ups
  • Work closely with the senior sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies
  • Construct sales proposals using SEO tools and research
  • Provide input on pricing and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with marketing to create compelling collateral and promotional materials

Market Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in search engine algorithms
  • Analyze market data to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales and prospecting activities
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, lead generation, and market trends

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 yrs of experience in business development specifically for SEO and/or other digital marketing channels 
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the digital marketing or SEO industry
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimization principles and techniques.
  • A strong business acumen
  • Strong understanding of business models and how SEO can integrate
  • Understanding of OmniChannel marketing and how SEO integrates
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets
  • Existing book of business/pipeline preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to ALWAYS meet deadlines and find ways to win

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
