As the SEO strategy lead on our Acquisition Experience team, you’ll serve as an associate manager for SEO strategists and a vital contributor to the evolution of Progressive’s industry-leading, multi-billion dollar e-commerce platform. As a passionate search marketer, you’ll work closely with the head of SEO and content strategy to drive SEO channel strategy and execution on a team delivering innovative digital experiences for our customers and prospects. You’ll be responsible for the planning and management of Progressive’s core SEO program and campaigns, from roadmap and strategy development through tactical execution. In addition, you’ll be responsible for SEO vendor and agency relationships, leveraging a data-driven approach to improve our ability to assess, value and prioritize search initiatives.

This is a remote position. We are also open to onsite or hybrid, based on candidate preference.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and 5 years of business/digital interaction or design experience
  • In lieu of degree, 7 years of business/digital interaction or design experience

Preferred skills      

  • 6+ years of strong performance in prior roles related to SEO, demonstrating growth in job responsibilities and people leadership
  • History of managing large scale, complex SEO campaigns and/or client accounts with complex digital projects; agency and/or Fortune 500 experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to draw critical analysis from multiple data sources and make specific recommendations, with experience performing holistic site audits based on technical, on-site and off-site ranking factors
  • Ability to apply strategic findings and put recommendations into action; strong project management skills and ability to triage and prioritize many competing needs
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with a collaborative working style; this role will build relationships with other subject matter experts and business owners of varying organizational levels


  • $80,300 – $107,000/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
