We are looking for an exceptional and visionary SEO Manager to lead & collaborate with our industry-leading SEO & eCommerce teams, working closely with the Senior SEO Manager to deliver and define our SEO strategy.
We invite accomplished digital marketing professionals to apply if you possess a solid foundation in SEO, content strategy, and project management, along with a demonstrable history of successfully guiding SEO projects from inception to completion while delivering outstanding results.
As the SEO Manager in our consumer mobile division, you’ll be entrusted with the responsibility of crafting and optimising superior content to enhance search engine rankings and drive traffic to the O2 and Virgin Mobile websites. Your expertise in identifying target keywords, developing strategies, and working with cross-functional teams will be essential to our success. You will be a driving force in analysing data, tracking the success of campaigns, and presenting results to senior business leaders.
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work remotely while visiting the office 1-2 times per week or month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop and execute innovative SEO strategies & campaigns.
Lead and manage a team of two content SEO specialists to create and optimise premium, SEO-friendly content. - Collaborate and develop best working practices with eCommerce merchandising and content teams, tracking and driving the successful implementation of our targeted changes.
- Identify and implement improved ways of working with other teams, such as conducting SEO workshops and developing processes.
- Competently deliver regular high-quality data analysis, such as ad-hoc, post-campaign analysis and trading performance commentary.
- Spearhead our SEO optimisation efforts by formulating and rigorously testing data-driven hypotheses using testing tools.
- Accurately communicate performance to senior business leaders, providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with outreach and digital PR teams to deliver high-impact link-building campaigns.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in SEO and content marketing, communicating and sharing knowledge with internal teams.
The must haves:
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- A passion for SEO which has led you to develop a deep knowledge of the 3 pillars of SEO.
- Proven experience in an SEO or content marketing-focused role, with leadership abilities. Agency experience is preferable.
- Bachelor’s degree or apprenticeship in marketing or a related field. STEM subjects are a bonus.
- Expert in keyword research, keyword clustering, and copywriting.
- Consistent track record of delivering projects that enhance EEAT.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS & JavaScript and how they apply to SEO.
- Data analysis skills and the ability to translate performance into a clear narrative for senior business leaders.
- Proficiency with core analytical tools; Google Search Console and Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Creative flair with the ability to design clear slides.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with keyword tracking tools such as SEO Monitor.
- Proficiency with other SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, and Ahrefs.
- Familiarity with AI content writing and its application in content delivery workflows.
- Background in working with enterprise brands.
- Experience with site migrations.
- Expertise in wireframing and advising on UX improvements.
- Experience with A/B or SEO template testing.
