About the role:
We need an SEO Lead to join Assertive Media. You will work across brands in the UK, Europe, and the Americas. For the right candidate, we operate on a hybrid or fully remote working model.
This role reports to the Strategy Director. You will implement SEO processes and deliver growth in organic traffic and search visibility across a portfolio of brands.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Research opportunities for organic search growth and provide actionable insights to the client and Assertive’s wider team.
- Setting SEO strategies for new and existing clients using our Growth Model.
- To support the Strategy Director and Head of SEO on new client pitches and proposals to win new business.
- Focus on SEO performance reporting at the end of each month to highlight key growth opportunities, challenges, industry trends and news.
- Lead bi-weekly or monthly calls with your handful of clients to walk them through your reporting updates and discuss upcoming tasks in the following weeks.
- Execute some SEO tasks and lead SEO executives where needed.
- Regular updates with the account management team to ensure client satisfaction and happiness.
- Responsible for monitoring performance (daily) and raising any performance issues with a solution.
- Use proprietary software, SEO Stack (which will provide full training).
- Regular 90-day strategy performance reviews for clients to ensure we’re aligned with KPIs.
- Keep pace with Google algorithm updates and refine best practices accordingly.
- Be data-driven and continually look into search demand, topics and trends from various data sources.
What skills you need:
- You MUST be organised. This is the number one trait we look for in a person.
- You must be a self-starter. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty immediately.
- At least 3 years of experience working within the SEO industry, with a solid understanding of technical, content, links, and industry tools.
- Skilled at using Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
- In-depth knowledge of GA4 and GSC.
- A passion for SEO and a comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices, including what it takes to create great content
- Strong understanding of search engines and how they work.
- Spreadsheet skills to work with raw data and use the insights to present back to teams.
- Proven ability to execute SEO campaigns from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- BONUS points: any side projects you’ve built from zero would be highly influential.
