SiriusXM is seeking a detail-oriented search engine optimization (SEO) intern to join the Digital Experience team. The Intern will work closely with the SEO team to increase the online visibility of SiriusXM by providing keyword research and analysis and identifying opportunities for site content optimization. Duties will include producing regularly scheduled reports and dashboards, assisting the team with ad-hoc SEO requests such as on-page optimizations, and producing keyword research. Through this internship, the candidate will get an opportunity to work on real-time projects from start to finish and develop a solid understanding of search marketing, content development, and technical SEO optimizations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain SEO best practices and checklist for digital stakeholders.
  • Develop monthly reporting and insights.
  • Conduct keyword/content research using search engine optimization tools.
  • Collaborate with content authoring and product team on internal search results and SEO alignment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.

Basic Requirements:

  • Understanding the basic principles of SEO & on-site optimization including title tags & meta descriptions, keyword research, crawling / indexing.
  • Motivated to learn new skills, tools and SEO techniques.
  • Ability to dissect data and make recommendations relative to organic search KPIs.
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
  • Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles.
  • Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of Google Docs Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Basic understanding of Google Search Console, Google Keyword Planner and other SEO tools (SEMrush or equivalent) a plus.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics preferred).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio a plus.
