### Job Description

Our client is a growing government agency in Malta that offers an array of different products and services. They are currently seeking to recruit a **Manager (Digital Projects)** to lead, plan, coordinate and deliver digital transformation initiatives and ICT projects, that support the agency’s strategic objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing, maintaining and monitoring comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation.
- Monitoring project progress, through the effective management of project plans, risk registers, issue logs, dependencies and mitigation actions.
- Opening, managing, and following up on tickets with suppliers and service providers to ensure the timely resolution of issues, defects, and project-related requests.
- Planning, organising, facilitating and chairing project meetings, supplier meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions, ensuring that actions are tracked and followed through to completion.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including test plans, test cases, progress reports and final assessments.
- Coordinating and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose before implementation.
- Gathering, analysing, documenting and validating business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that propose digital solutions meet operational needs.
- Performing and coordinating quality assurance and quality control activities to identify and resolve defects and issues, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices established by the agency.
- Working closely with development teams to ensure testing requirements are met and defects are addressed promptly for smooth and efficient delivery.
- Developing and coordinating change management and communication activities that support the successful adoption of new digital services, systems and business processes.
- Working closely with the Head (ICT), ICT team, Ministry CIOs, business owners, suppliers, and external stakeholders to support the execution of digital transformation initiatives aligned with the agency’s strategic goals.
- Identifying opportunities to improve project management practices, digital processes, and service delivery through innovation, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies.
- Maintaining the necessary level of confidentiality commensurate with the level of responsibility but also share all relevant information with Management, who is also bound by confidentiality.

 

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- An MQF Level 5 qualification in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, Computer Science, Business Computing & Management or another related field, together with at least three years of relevant work experience in digital project management, software development, ICT systems implementation, business analysis, digital transformation or related ICT functions OR
- An MQF Level 6 qualification in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, Business Computing and Management, or another related field, together with at least one year of relevant work experience in digital project management, software development, ICT systems implementation, business analysis, digital transformation or a related area.
- Proficiency in both Maltese and English.
