**Overview**

As Digital Product Director at IDEO London, you shape AI-driven products as design material, guiding engagements from brief to market. You lead cross-functional teams and client relationships, building a scalable AI product practice in Europe amid evolving regulation. You balance human-centered design with business goals, navigating agentic systems and non-deterministic interfaces. You shape trust-based AI experiences and contribute to a culture of rigorous craft and responsible innovation.

 **Responsibilities**

- Lead digital product engagements from brief through to market, ensuring quality, pace, and strong client relationships
- Act as main client point of contact on strategic accounts, building trust beyond the project team
- Direct multidisciplinary teams to maintain rigor and craft while moving work forward
- Help clients transition to AI-native design, focusing on agentic systems and human–AI collaboration
- Prototype and pressure-test concepts with live AI models to reveal user-AI interaction nuances
- Contribute to the AIx practice by developing tools, methods, and perspectives for responsible AI at scale
- Frame and scope follow-on work, expanding relationships and potential impact for IDEO
- Represent IDEO externally through talks, writing, and thought leadership on trustworthy AI and human-centered design
- Coach and mentor designers and product leads to foster excellent craft and client communication
- Scope opportunities and guide proposals for new engagements
- Engage with regulatory thinking to turn EU AI Act considerations into design opportunities
- Support cross-functional teams in fast-moving environments
- Maintain alignment with stakeholders while preserving the project’s point of view
- Lead in environments that require balancing rigour with imaginative prototyping

 **Key requirements**

- Proven track record in leading and launching complex digital products, senior or director level
- Experience shipping AI-enabled products where AI meaningfully changes product capabilities and user experience
- Fluency in AI design, including agentic systems, LLM-powered capabilities, and human–AI interaction patterns
- Proficiency in Figma and early prototyping, including live models or coded proofs-of-concept
- Strong people leadership, talent development, and performance management
- Experience scoping new work, writing proposals, and presenting to senior clients
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholders and maintain strategic perspective
- Solid understanding of UX and interaction design across platforms
- Portfolio showing breadth in design and product thinking
