Job Description:
As a key member of the Interactive team, this position will be responsible for audience research, competitive intelligence, content audits, and development and presentation of content strategy. The person is responsible for defining a consistent and engaging voice and tone appropriate for the customers and users, creating content, and upholding regulatory requirements, quality standards, and brand compliance. Must demonstrate ability to create compelling content for different kinds of interactive media and application types including web sites, online ads, social media, email newsletters and online training.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Copywriter
- Write and edit content written by others
- Conduct keyword research and implement SEO and SEM strategies
- Create content calendars and set agendas
- Assist in information architecture
- Assess, catalogue, and organize web site content
- Define the editorial workflow for client projects
- Identify opportunities for audience engagement
- Track new content development
- Develop and manage the customer-facing content taxonomies, definitions and metadata frameworks
- Develop a competitive site analysis/gap analysis, identify KPIs, analyze results, and report on metrics
- Works closely and efficiently with web manager, social media manager and designers
- Keep up-to-date on the latest editorial technology
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Experience in online content strategy, preferably in an agency setting
- Experience in creating/writing content for web or other digital medium
- Experience in an interactive space, healthcare experience is helpful
- Experience with content management systems and databases
- Can communicate objectives and strategies effectively
- Careful, consistent and detail-oriented
- Familiar with goals and best practices for web development environments and information architecture
